PLEASE DO NOT NOT TOUCH
Founder & Creative Director
2013 - Present
- - -
Please do not not touch is redefining the gallery experience. Rules are being broken to introduce a fresh, exciting take on what should be expected of art and exhibitions. Expect a fun, less exclusive, less intimidating atmosphere, where spectators become participants, and participants become artists.
I set up Please do not not touch when I graduated from Edinburgh College of Art and moved to London. Now, we've had two sold out parties (LOST TEASER [CHAPTER I] and LOST TEASER [CHAPTER II]) and one sold out festival (LOST).

MY DEGREE SHOW
Edinburgh College of Art
June 2013
- - -
For my degree show piece, I challenged the idea of what people are 'allowed to do' in galleries. I encouraged spectators to become participants.
I built a bedroom and painted all of the furniture and items inside it white, as well as myself. This was my blank canvas. I then invited participants to take a shotglass of powdered paint and decorate their surroundings. On the shelf of shotglasses, I printed the instruction 'Please do not not touch' to force participants to stop and think about what they were 'supposed to do'.

MY COLLEGE WORK
Edinburgh College of Art
2009 - 2013
- - -
I studied Fine Art at ECA, specialising in Painting. Over the four years, my work evolved from traditional portrait painting on canvas, alone; to body painting my subjects in a bedroom setting, just the two of us; to encouraging spectators to paint on my body, in front of an audience. I found (and still find) the level of intimacy fascinating, which led me to my degree show piece.
Here are some of the Live Art Events I organised in my third and fourth year of art school...
